Users disabled

When a users license expires or is taken they remain in the PPM database as an identity.

This is OK because they ‘could’ come back one day and we can just re activate his record by applying a license.

 

If you don’t want them to come up as a user in the search of users in PPM you have to ‘Disable’ them.

This is a step not usually taken by us  when we take someone's license or they automatically expire.

 

I notice other users are disabled in the database?

 

I tested this and if I use the Disable button in workbench they still exist but no longer come up in the user search.

 

How does the system treat users without a license?

 

Does it disable them after a period or is this a manual process?

Hi,

PPM does not disable users automatically, no matter if they have a license or not.

Users without license are commonly used for notifications and for resource allocation. Even though they will not access the system, they can still receive email notifications or they can be allocated to tasks.
