Chrooted SFTP issue
Hi,
I'm trying to add a new user to a couple of previously working chrooted sftp environments. I am using the chroot setup script provided with the SSH package in order to set up the user.
The user is created and I can ssh in as the user but if i try and sftp in the connection is immediately closed, (running with -vvv it would appear that the authentication is ok and the meesages give no obvious indication of what is wrong other than an exit status of 255.

We did our implementation of this with Linux. This appears to be the same problem we had.
The permissions of the critical OS files in the chroot jail are wrong. That means normally that ownership is wrong and the user creation script is faulty.
You may want to hang a tusc process information collector on the login process to get more detail on the cause of failure.
