Converting to Trusted failed with HPUX 11.23

I tried to convert our server that is running 11.23 to trusted mode. It fails with a message stating that the server can not be converting while using shadow passwords.

The server obviously is not trusted and not sure how to get OUT of using shadow passwords to enable the conversion to trusted mode.

Any help would be appreciated!

Your system installed HP ShadowPassword. You can run pwunconv to unconvert the shadow password.

Like Yang said, you have to unconvert your system from Shadow to Standard mode using pwunconv and then run the pwck to check your password file.

After that you are good to go on setting up the trusted mode. Don't forget to see the man pages.

Well if your like me there is no pwunconv.
But you can use tsconvert -r
I also have no man pages for tsconvert. Helpful isn't it?
I believe you can also unconvert in SAM
