EVFS on HP-UX

Just wondering if anyone has used HP's EVFS (encrypted volume and file system)?

We're having a hard-time finding vendors/resellers/consultants that have used it.

We've also had a call into HP for some help and it's been 3 weeks and they haven't found anyone who knows more about it that we do (and that isn't very much).

So, we're hesitant to use a product that is not used by anyone else (or by the vendor evidently).

Has anyone used EVFS or can suggest and alternate that we might use?

We have some rp3440's running HP-UX 11.23.  Storage is EMS SAN.  And this is to comply with some PCI credit card regulations in case you're wondering.

Thanks!

What kind of help did you need?

Re: EVFS on HP-UX

Installing it, configuring it, managing keys in a Serviceguard environment, converting an existing filesystem....basically everything.

We were hoping to hire a consultant  to come in and help us install as we don't have the time to become experts.

Our normal consultants have never touched it, and our HP rep hasn't been able to find anyone at HP that has either.

Re: EVFS on HP-UX

We are not suppossed to name our EVFS customers here, however I confirm that EVFS has got good customer base.

EVFS can be downloaded from :

www.software.hp.com

And the documentation can be downloaded from :

http://docs.hp.com/en/internet.html#Encrypted%20Volume%20and%20File%20System%20%28EVFS%29

If you have any specific questions on EVFS, we should be able to help you out. If you are looking for help in deploying EVFS, we will have our proudct WTEC get in touch with you.

Thanks
