HPUX Passwords and SAP
Recently we had an audit where the request was to make our HPUX passwords expire and required to be more complex. Currently the SAP sccounts we have, SIDadm and oraSID have complex passwords but do not expire nor have log in failure lockout. if either of those things happened then the SAP enviroment would be in serious trouble. So, what I am trying to do, with no offical HP UX Security training, is figure out how to require all BUT the SAP accounts to have expirations, complexitity, and lock out rules. We could then change the SAP passwords under our own control/time table but let the system manage all the rest.
What is the best way to appraoch this? Anyone else out here run SAP and have this issue? How do we set up some to follow HPUX security setting and others ignore them?
