IM Missing W2K Server Reboots
Hi All,
This query triggered by another posting reporting rebooted servers not picked up.
I'm finding that W2K Servers that are rebooted are not always picked up by IM.
Looking at the Service dependencies, the IM Agents are dependendent on SNMP. ooking through the Event Log and SNMP announces it is up AFTER the Agents. Often, but not always, the "cold start" event is not logged anywhere in IM.
Have I missed something obvious or are the Agents coming up before SNMP is fully available and losing some messages?
CIM 7, 6.10 Softpaq/Agents on W2K SP2.

Re: IM Missing W2K Server Reboots
I am having the same problem and to make sure that I get a correct info from CIM, I stop SNMP whcih stops all the agents and then start SNMP before starting the foundation agent and web agent. If you do find a fix please let me know.
