Introducing the newest member of the HP Apollo Family, the HP Apollo 6000 System!

This solution delivers 4x better performance per dollar per watt than a competing blade using 60% less floor space. From the beginning, HP designed this platform for scalability and efficiency at rack-scale delivering a total cost of savings of $3M/1000 servers over 3 years. The Apollo 6000 provides the flexibility to tailor the system to precisely meet the needs of your workloads. Efficiency at rack scale is fueled by HP’s unique external power shelf, dynamically allocating power to help maximize rack-level energy efficiency while providing the right amount of redundancy for your business.

HP's Robert Voss gives us a quick overview of the HP Apollo 6000 System, with up to 160 1P servers/rack. HP is taking density optimized to a whole new level with the Apollo family of products. A great fit for EDA, financial risk modeling, and some seismic processing applications, this new 5U focuses on providing rack-optimized performance per watt per $, with more options coming soon.
