It’s 2014 and we’re back at Red Hat Summit to talk physical and virtual management. In a previous Red Hat Summit BLOG, I talked about the daunting numbers of management tools needed to manage these infrastructures within a data center. At that time, HP had a beta version of Insight Control for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (ICRHEV) that would enable you to manage your HP hardware infrastructure from within the RHEV Manager.

Not quite familiar with ICRHEV?  Here is a brief overview.

ICRHEV is a GUI plug-in that allows you to manage your ProLiant Infrastructure from within the RHEV Manager. In other words, through the RHEV Manager console, you can manage your Red Hat KVM virtual machines and have access to host and core infrastructure information.

When you install the ICRHEV plug-in to the RHEV Manager, you get important benefits including:

  • Fewer applications gathering the same information - One less tool to learn
  • Single sign-on to some of HP’s proven tools like iLO, Virtual Connect, and On Board Administrator - All in context
  • Virtual Connect network visualization – An interactive network diagram illustrating your RHEV defined logical network to your external switches.
  • A single pane of glass – One level of complexity solved and one less monitor on your desk

This month (April 2014), HP is announcing our 2nd update of Insight Control for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization.  Want to see a live demo?  Visit us at the HP Booth #505 and see hands on, how HP Insight Control for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization can work for you.

While you’re at the event, be sure to sign up for the breakout session entitled, “Manage your HP ProLiant & BladeSystem environment with Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization.” It is on Thursday, April 17, beginning at 9:45 am.
