SC6 licenses can be used for SM9.33 migration

Hi,

Can Service Center licenses can be used for Service Manager 9.33 migration? Ofcource if the licenses can be used, we need to obtain another set of license keys for SM9.33 specific to new server IP address but do we need to spend money in this license key migration?

Thank you,

Pinky

Re: SC6 licenses can be used for SM9.33 migration

Hi Pinky,

According to this, I actually didnot apply the same on SM, and I am not sure if it can be done or not. But I think it is hard to apply it.  The license is depended on your IP Address. So it is better to get a new license for the latest product of SM.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Re: SC6 licenses can be used for SM9.33 migration

Hello,

It looks like you are migrating from SC to SM.

So long as you are paying Support and Maintenance, then you are entitled to request new SM9.33 licenses.

There is no charge for this.

How to request the SM licenses?:

o. Email:

          o. Send email to: MI.Licensing-EMEA@hp.com

          o. Specifying:

                   o. your SAID ( Support Agreement ID)

                   o. the IP of the primary server

o. Online:

          o. Goto: http://support.openview.hp.com/casemanager/newincident

          o.  And open a "Licensing" request, also specifying:

                   o. your SAID ( Support Agreement ID)

                   o. the IP of the primary server

Regards
