Web client changes

Hi Experts,

we are upgrading from SM 7.11 to SM 9.33 and we need the following web page changes to be done on the web client,

Screen shot attached for your reference , we need the image to be added as shown in screen shot and also the user name should be replaced with login and the Login by default should have only upper case characters when typing.

Please suggest.

If you tailored that on you SM 7 webtier build, transfer those configuration files to the SM 9 webtier. They would be the same changes.

Re: Web client changes

Hi,

Thanks for your reply , but copying the webtier.war file some times would not work exactly , also we would like to know the file extention and the folder where it could be changed.

Re: Web client changes

Hi,

You have to only replace the modified/customized file, and remove war file from directory for safer side before restart the tomcat/apache.

Re: Web client changes

Hi Piku,

Sm Login.jsp file is not the same as 7.11 where is login.jsp and the contents of the file in Sm 9.33 is also very minimal.

So it should only be manual changes on the screen. Please suggest.

Re: Web client changes

I add the following lines to smlogin.jsp file within the deployed WAR/EAR:

Modify the middle entry:

<td class="loginInput">
  <input id="LoginUsername" type="text" name="user.id" tabindex="1" onkeyup="javascript&colon;this.value=this.value.toUpperCase();">
</td>
..

instead this line style="text-transform:uppercase;"  that not really change to uppercase the login name; the onkeyup  function for me.
