SGeSAP for HANA?
Hi,
As HANA rolled out two formed SAP-Oracle based systems are migrated on hana. These two systems are runing SGeSAP 5.1. However there is no official information or plan SGeSAP will handle HANA? Any direction will be helpful.
Regards,
David

Re: SGeSAP for HANA?
David, SGeSAP delivers High Availabilty for SAP database and application servers on HP-UX and Linux servers.
HANA is an appliance replacement for the SAP database component - originally for SAP BW systems, but now extending out to other SAP instances.
If you want High Availaibility (HA) or Disaster Tolerance (DT) for your SAP HANA system, you need to go for the XL Scale Out SAP HANA system, as this has HA and DT features built-in (although it doesn't use SGeSAP). For your SAP application servers which will not be part of HANA - if they are on HP-UX or Linux, you can continue to use SGeSAP for those components in the normal way.
