port scan

hello to all,

 

did anyone face this as well?

 

all the packages from our mcsg cluster went down during a security test port scan.

Both lan (active and standby) became unavailable.

 

Or could it be something else? (IDS)

What OS release/Serviceguard release are you on? This was a known issue which has been addressed by patches... e.g. if you are on HP-UX11.31 and Serviceguard 11.19, the patch is PHSS_40583  or a superseding patch.

Hello Duncan,

 

thanks for the Solution.

We are on HP-UX11.31 and Serviceguard 11.19 

 

The patch has some implications for the cluster, so it will take some time to install it.

 

I will let You know when the work is done.

The latest patch for SG 11.19 on HP-UX 11.31 is PHSS_42778
