Connecting Two Server to MSA201FC SAN to access Common Data

HI,

I have a MSA 2012fc configured with Three Volumes connnected to a single HP Proliant Server which is runing SQL database.(SQL database on SAN) Can I conenct a second server to the MSA and conenct to the same Volumes? What do I need to do to ensure that they dont try and acess the data at the same time, if anything?

Tks

From the array point of view it is no problem - just present the LUNs to the other server.

But keep in mind the filesystem (or whatever is inside the LUN) must be kind of cluster aware, otherwise you will destroy your data, if both servers are writing.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
