Enable Direct SAN access for 2012R2 iSCSI using Veeam

I'm in the process of configuring a dedicated Veeam Server and investigating the SAN Direct access solution over VM Proxy. This utilises iSCSI but to move forward I need to permit access to the SAN and wondering if anyone here could point me in the right direction.

 

I take it this permission isn't set via ESXi vSphere, moreso on the SAN itself?
