HP MSA P2000 G3 - Changing from straight-through to fault-tolerant cabling
Hi Community,
we have MSA P2000 G3 with 2 enclosures that was originally cabled using straight through pattern.
It was acceptable in the beginning as it didn't contain critical data, but we recently expaned with another two enclosures and we are going to use it for DR.
So I am defintitely going to recable MSA and enclosures with fault tolerant pattern, but I was wondering if I can do it without taking down MSA. Also, I assume the Vdisk configuration is stored on controllers and on hard drives so recabling should destroy the config, but I can't find the information to prove it.
Thanks.

Re: HP MSA P2000 G3 - Changing from straight-through to fault-tolerant cabling
Well, I have opened a ticket with HP and just got an answer.
So if some was wondering how to do that here is a short plan:
1. Move ownership for all vDisks to Controller A
2. Shutdown storage controller B
3. Change only Red cabling according to the pics below
4. Power on Controller B
5. Evenly redistribute the ownership of vDisks
