HP Storageworks 8/8 SAN Swtich specific SFPs...?

Hi all;

 

I have a HP Storageworks 8/8 SAN Swtich with P/N AP86FA. I have some HP SFPs in hand, but only B-Series of them works on the switch and so when I plug in any other SFPs (like any SFPs that are not B-Series), the related LED port on the switch will be amber.

 

Is it normal?

Hi,
Yes.

Starting with 8g that is normal.
There is a list of supported ones in the b-series connectivity stream on hp Spock.
