146 GB and MA8000

Quick question. Are the 146 GB drives supported in the MA8000? Thanks.

Ditto.

ACS Upgrade to 8.7 and whatever the latest CLCP revision is.

You do not need Patch 4 on ACS 8.7 for 146 GB drives.

8.6F-13 OR 8.7F-0 as a minimum is running the 146GB disks in my HSG80's. (EMA style)

If you are talking about the Blue Brick stuff.... NO!

Blue Bricks or SSB type drives only go up to 36 GB.

Re: 146 GB and MA8000

We're running a number of 146GB Disks in an EMA12000 with ACS 8.7F-2.

The patches are now up to 8.7F-6 but they're pretty specialised.

One thing that caught me and I'm not sure if it's just 146GB Disk related.
Added the disks, created a RaidSet, init'd the raidset all okay and then got hundreds (possibly thousands) of HSG reported errors when I formatted it under Windows.
To fix it I removed the Unit and raidset Init'd the disks individually before creating the RaidSet and then Init'd that. Formats etc then worked without error.
