Blue light on 146GB SAS drive?

Blue light on 146GB SAS drive?

I have a 146GB SAS drive in a MSA 2000. This particular drive has its blue indicator light (above the normal activity light) that is on and blinking. No other drives have that light. I can't find any explanation of the light in any manual. Any explanations to this? Thank you!

i'm not familiar with the MSA products, but i see that the drive enclosure looks very similar (12 bays) to the drive enclosure for the EVA4400 that i work with

in EVA's case the blue blinking LED (which is "the same" with the amber fault LED) is used to easily locate a drive in the enclosure, and can be (de)activated from Command View EVA (the software that manages the HP EVA storage product family)
