C-Blades San Switch auto port enable?

After an internal move of a few Blades to a new Enclosure all the new in use ports went from Persistant Disable to Online automatic when the Blades started up.
I have no idea where that comes from or how to stop that.

The SanSwitches are in access gateway mode.

Any idea? Or was I just dreaming.

Thanks,

maybe the AG admin guide could help you:

the pain is one part of the reality

Re: C-Blades San Switch auto port enable?

HI Chiel,

Both Cisco 9124e and the Brocade C-Class Interconnect Switches support "Ports on demand" feature and if you do a "portcfgpersistentdisable" you will find that it will stay down even if your enclosure reboots. However if you are doing zoning especially NODE ZONING in your fabrics this shouldnt be an issue.

If you are moving devices inside your C-Class enclosure you are in fact changing ports. This isnt good for HP-UX as it will receive a new FC_ID and you will need to remount your luns and restart your applications.

I urged you to move with caution when working with C-Class enclosures.

For cClass blade Servers(initiator) first do the Hard Zoning and Soft Zoning for Storage (Target)
