EVA 4100 Controller Firmware Upgrade

I'm trying to upgrading from firmware 6.11 to 6.22

The Storage System Verification fails with the following error:
Check 1: Hardware operational status
- Code load hardware check warning: Insufficient number of controllers found.
- Code load hardware check warning: Insufficient number of controllers found.

Anyone know what the problem might be?

Re: EVA 4100 Controller Firmware Upgrade

Hi Frank,

Those errors look fairly self explanatory...

Are both controllers functioning correctly ?

Re: EVA 4100 Controller Firmware Upgrade

Hi Rob,

Yes both controllers are functioning.

I found the problem. For some reason EVA CV was reporting the controllers in 2 seperate enclosures causing the system verification to fail.

Thanks for the respone.

Frank

Re: EVA 4100 Controller Firmware Upgrade

Is the EMU/CAB cabling correct ?
The controllers should be connected the CAB Bus with a Y-Cable. If not then they'll pick up different IDs as appears to have happened...

Cheers,

Re: EVA 4100 Controller Firmware Upgrade

I re-seeded the y-cable and rebooted the controllers and the problem went away.

Thanks,
