EVA P6000 Disks ungrouped after hardware problem

Hi there ,

I've got a big problem with a P6000 EVA which had a hardware problem and ungrouped 50 1TB disks with vraid1 LUNS on it . Is there any chance for getting the data visible again ( vmware ESX data ) ?

What kind of hardware problem?

What is the exact status now?

Hope this helps!

Re: EVA P6000 Disks ungrouped after hardware problem

Hi Torsten,

there were 50 1TB disks in one disk group with vraid1 luns with double protection.

The disk group was filled ~90 % , there were 2 disks replaced due to a hardware failure .

The We Management tool stated :

Disk Group Hardware Failure -> continue with no changes or Start deletion Process

Customer clicked Start deletion Process because of the description "if hardware error is small the disk group will be repaired".

But the result was 50 ungrouped disks ...

Re: EVA P6000 Disks ungrouped after hardware problem

Sounds like "Start deletion Process" has done the job.

It would be better to ask first, then click, sorry.

You may consider to ask hp support anyway, but likely it is too late.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
