Just reviewed the case again and read that we should first try with the new controller but that most probably the riser board in the Controller shelf is the issue. Do you know whether this riser module is hot pluggable as well?

Sadly no, you need to power off the whole EVA and remove the enclosure.

I've replaced controller 2 yesterday evening and so far everything is running fine. Will keep an eye on this for the next few days...
