HP 6140 aka McData 6140 end of life.

Hi all,

I am being told by our HP support guys that there are two flavours of the 6140 director, specifically the 316093-B21 and the 316093-B22. Looking at HP's website, the only difference appears to be the "base" number of ports provided with the director. However, we are being told that the B21 version goes "end of support" next year, but the B22 version has a further (probably) two years. This seems ludicrous to me. Has anyone else received any formal notification of end of life for these products?

Interestingly HP even had to do a site survey to tell us which products we have - even though they support them!
