P2000 G3 Using vSphere Storage DRS
We are implementing a P2000 G3 FC dual controller with 12 300gb 15k SAS drives. This will utilize vSphere storage DRS, which balances IO workload and space. At what level does the MSA handle VM IO? Is it at vDisk, volume or harddrive? The thought so far was to split the disks as follows: vDisk 1 - 6 disk RAID10 - 3 x 600gb volumes vDisk 2- 4 disk RAID10 - 2 x 600gb volumes Is there a better way to split this up to work with vSphere Storage DRS?
Many thanks in advance for any assistance.
