P6300 Total capacity is more than physical capacity and no update after changed a failed disk

Hi All,

Yesterday I changed a failed disk.

I have two questions.

1. There are 600GB disk x 12 in the disk group. The actual capacity should be 558GB x 12=6696GB. But in CV the total capacity of the disk group is 9563GB.

2. The Single protaction level is not available. But before the disk failed it is available. I think it will be available after I change a new disk. It seems that it does not add the new disk's capacity into the available capacity.

There is only one disk group. There are three vraid6 vdisks. The total capacity of these vdisks is 3300GB.

Thanks.

Make sure all disks are grouped.
How about the disk group view?

Hope this helps!

Ok, now I see.

The tital is even gretare than 12*600.

I would try first to boot the controllers one by one and see if this helps.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Thanks for reply!

I didn't restart. Should I restart both controllers at the same time or one by one?

First I would try one by one, so you can do this online.

Hope this helps!

Re: P6300 Total capacity is more than physical capacity and no update after changed a failed disk

Hi!

I restarted controllers, but... the result is the same, unfortunately...

May be I was wrong with my calculations. Tell me please what is the formula for actually allocated space? I have vraid6 and vraid5 vdisks.
