VA7400
Hi,
We used to be able to backup the 30GB data very fast using our surestore Ultrium library. Now the backup time seems to be longer although the data is not growing.
I suspect there are some problem with the va7400.
May I know is there any log or anything I can look at in va7400?

Re: VA7400
I would suggest that you look at the performance of your system as a whole, using something like glance, to try and identify the exact cause of the performance problem. Also, you need to quantify how much slower the backups are.
Let us know how you make out.
Good luck!

Re: VA7400
Hi,
If you want to Check the VA Logs you must to kown the folow:
Location of Array Controller Logs
Array controller logs are stored in three locations:
- NVSDRAM. 256 kilobytes of NVSDRAM memory is reserved to hold one
thousand log entries.
- Image Disks. The logs in NVSDRAM are mirrored and backed up by the
image disks.
- Host OS directory. Polls the controller every 10 minutes and updates the
following host directory, located on the host internal disk:
/sanmgr/cmdview/server/logs
Check the array controller logs using one of the following methods:
- HP SureStore Command View SDM - Command Line User Interface (CLUI).
Refer to the ???armlog??? command in the HP Command View SDM Installation
& User Guide.
- HP SureStore Command View SDM - Command View User Interface
(CVUI). Refer to this menu in the HP Command View SDM Installation &
User Guide:
???Storage->HpArrayMain->Diagnostics->ArrayLogs???
