Alpha Server disk question(s)
I've been tasked with administering a 5.1b3 three-node cluster, and one of the members, an ES40, has an amber light on a disk. Mass storage is on an HSG80. The application running on the cluster is mission-critical, but there are plans in the works to migrate this to an AIX environment.
I don't know a lot about Tru64, and I'm concerned about replacing this disk. I'm having problems identifying exactly what the disk does - is it a spare, a mirror, or is it in use as a standalone mount? The last few lines below say that local disk is RAID. Still skittish. Is the disk hot-swappable, or should I bring down the member?
My company has purchased extended support with HP to bring someone to our data center to swap the disk, but I'll be driving this task.
