Anybody uses the identify bytes displayed by ioscan -F?

Hi,

HP would like to find out if any users actually use the 'identify bytes' displayed by ioscan -F (see ioscan man page).

The 'identify bytes' can be used to identify a target or lun. However they are not persistent across system reboots and therefore cannot really be used as true unique device identifiers acreoss reboots.

If you do use these id. bytes, please let us know how and what for!

Thanks,

Marie-Noelle
