Backup whit TAR files bigger than 2GB

Hi,
(HP-UX 11.11)
I tried backup a file bigger than 2GB in a tape (DDS-3) with the traditional TAR (of the operating system), but I can´t.
What can I do?
Help please.

You can use GNU tar ( http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Gnu/tar-1.14/ ).

You can also use fbackup instead but you will only be able to restore on an HP-UX system.

Even better would be to not use tar at all and use fbackup.

The patch PHCO_29229 is for HP-UX 11.0. Do you know which one is for HP-UX 11.11?
