Cloning on superdome
We want to clone an nPAR partition in HP-UX Superdome which is running an application with Oracle 10G database.
Can you please tell me whether it is possible to clone application and oracle database along with HP-UX OS. Later we will change the hostname and IP Address of the new nPAR. If possible what is the procedure for the same and what are the things to be considered ?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Cloning on superdome
Ignite is the only supported system cloning tool.

Lots of ways to do it.
The tool comes with the OS.

Re: Cloning on superdome
In case of ignite , we will need to create the new nPAR partition using 'npartitions' and then restore the ignite backup. Am I correct ?
What are the things to be considered and checked before going for the this approach?
Thanks
