Could not find the san disks in HP-UX

Dear All,
I am having XP2000 san attached with rx8640 vpartition. I f i newly present the LDEV's to the server, then i could not fidn the new disks using ioscan. The zonning and other connectivity are ok because if i reboot the server then i could find the new disks. Can someone tell me how to add the disks without reboot.

Thanks.

Hi,

Did you give "insf" or "insf -e"

Then try with "ioscan -fnC disk"

Re: Could not find the san disks in HP-UX

Hello,

Yes, as already told....after adding disks, run :
# insf -eC disk
and check again with:
# ioscan -fnC disk
and see if you find new disks as CLAIMED and with names /dev/rdsk/cxtydz.

It should work.

Hi,

Check the CU:LDEV no from storage admin.

#xpinfo -i | grep CU:LDEV

u will get the paths.
