Does HP-UX 11.31 support SAS or USB tape drive?

Hi everyone,

We have a rx6600 server which is running HP-UX 11.31.1009 DCOE. Now we want to provure a DAT72 tape drive for OS ignite backup. There are two choice for the tape dirve port type: USB and SAS, they are all new port type to me, so I want to know does my HP-UX version and server can support these tape drive?

USB is not supported, see

but SAS is

Hey why not create a ignite image on a remote ignite server. One of your server can have ignite images of all of your systems. That way no tapes and restores are easier over the network.
