Error installing QPKBASE and QPKAPPS (QPK1123(B.11.23.0706.064) )

Hi,
when i tried to install the above QPK patch bundles the analysis phase showed that the installation could be proceeded with errors, could anyone let me know me whether it is ok to proceed with the errors? we need this as a prerequisite for DB2 9.1 installation.

Rajith,

Your patch bundle has installed before, you do not have to install already

NOTE: The bundle "BUNDLE,r=B.11.23" is already installed. If you
wish to reinstall this bundle, change the "reinstall" option
to "true".

So patch will not install because the patch will match what target has.

check the output of swlist -l product | more and find the list of patches installed.

Hi All,
first of all thanks a lot for the replies. well sorry i could not mention that the log file was taken after the installation was proceeded. i proceeded the installation, but then i has problems connecting remotely to the server also some of the sam options were not functioning properly. i had to reboot the system pointing to the previous kernel.

i guess the patch installation resulted in the kernel malfunctioning, as soon as the patch was installed the, it rebooted and was not able to access remotely as well as had problems with sam operations, such as Network interface card was not ditected and s/w installations were not possible.

do you know a way to successfully install the above patch. herewith i have attached a log file of a machine which i have not installed the patch and we need to install the patch in this machine as well.

Shalom Rajith,

I recommend strongly against a reinstall of Bundle unless you have a newer version that what is installed.

It may have a dependency to a LITS, Line in the Sand Patch wich should not be re-installed on any system. PHKL_31500
