Hi
We are having rp3440 Server Installed with HP AD194-6001 PCI 2-Port 4GB HBA card .We found problem with the card are going to replace the same .After replace shall we need to make any configuration changes in this server ? Though the MAC and IP also going to change. The card having 2 NIC and 2 FC Port.
#ioscan -fnkC lan and #ioscan -fnkC fc dispalyed the card as Combo Adapter with different Physical Path
Kindly Suggest.

SolutionHi Ajin,
As it is a combo card , i.e LAN + FC , you have to reconfigure all the ports that are in use,
That means
-for Lan ports , if they are in use you have to reconfigure the IP & to verify.
-for FC ports you have to re-zone the ports with the switch side as the WWN number have been changed. Ask your switch or storage admin guy to rezone it with the new WWN number, You have to provide new wwn number of the new card , from fcmsutil command.
HTH,
Raj D.
