Im am currently trying to install IDS 9000 on a test server to evaluate. The swinstall fails and the first hurdle. It needs dependancies. What do I need to install to get this working. It looks like it needs Open View stuff. Is there not a fully loaded bundle I can just install.
I am using idsSPI-VPO-HPUX-A0202.depot

Solution
You attempted to install the OVO SPI for HIDS, not the HIDS product itself.
Go to http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=HPUX-HIDS to get the latest version of HIDS.
Thanks
Pierre

Re: HP IDS/9000 Install problems
Shalom Richard,
The missing dependencies are always dipslayed in the swagent log.
/var/adm/sw/swagentd.log
It would probably help to get the product you really want and try and install that first.
Usually the download pages list dependencies.
