I need to set up an HP-UX Ignite server to boot HP Integrity Blades.
Can an HP9000 act as an Ignite server for HP Integrity servers?
Thanks
Andrew

you have to define whether to use pa-risc or integrity server as your ignite server. if both are not using the same version of hp-ux, i would say the answer is no.

Re: HP-UX Ignite server
An server based on HP-UX 11.11 can install clients with 11.23 or 11.31 for example.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: HP-UX Ignite server
Go to
http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=IGNITEUXB
and choose what OS versions would you like your IUX Server to be able to support.

Re: HP-UX Ignite server
With regard to Wittie's comment "there has to be only one ignite server responding to the boot requests and no other DHCP/bootp servers", does this mean that the Ignite server cannot co-exist with other Windows BOOTP/DHCP servers like RDP and Windows RIS (Remote Installation Server) on the same subnet?
Regards
Andrew
