HP-UX Lock error
Hi Guys,
We have a HP Itanium server runninh HP-UX 11.23 OS. When we start our Oracle database, we get the below error:
ORA-27086: skgfglk: unable to lock file - already in use
HPUX-ia64 Error: 46: No locks available
Your help will be very much appreciated.

I found one thread reporting the same error. The root cause is NFS based. Look it over and get back.

As asuggested above please check if ur DB is using any NFS file system and check for any permission issue.
ORA-27086: unable to lock file - already in use
Cause: the file is locked by another process, indicating that it is currently in use by a database instance.
Action: determine which database instance legitimately owns this file.
Check if you have shut the DB completely before.
