HP-UX Root Password Reconciliation/Synchronization

Hi,

I need to know if in a trusted HP-UX system some configuartion can be done such that while changing the root password , the system does not ask the old password everytime. We do not want to reboot the system in order to change the root password & also this is required as the root account password is to be managed through a Password Management solution(PAM) & the requirement is to automatically reconcile the root password.

We want to use another account (say cadmrc) on the HP-UX system in order to change the root account password without prompting for the older password.

Please suggest the configurations to be done & the priviledge required for the other account to do so.

You might want to consider using sudo to enable doing specific command as root.
