HP patch install remotely
We have BRS server at remote location.
I need to install update patch in BRS server.
My question is can I move file to BRS server and run it from there?
I think it could be done... Tar whole CD and ftp to BRS.
If any of you guys have done this, please let me know.
Thank you.

Re: HP patch install remotely
Shalom,
there are easier answers.
Download the cd from itrc.hp.com patching and ftp it there.
But the cd/dvd in a local drive
lets say its /cdrom
vi /etc/exportfs
/cdrom
exportfs -av
Now you can remotely install it via nfs on the remote machine.

Re: HP patch install remotely
Thanks for the tip.
I used my laptop to upload hold CD onto TEST server. I was able to install from it.
All the permissions were set correctly.
Now I am going to upload to BRS server.
Thank you.
