Re: How to install the OS thru ILO.
With an advanced license installed for ILO, you can connect to the ilo via httpd/java interface and do an install any method as if you are on console keyboard.

Re: How to install the OS thru ILO.
If you can, I'd suggest setting up an HTTP server and serve the sources from there instead. You'll be amazed at how quick the install will be. This is what I do across all the DCs I support - I have a server in each that holds the installation sources. When I need to build a system, I just use ILO to boot up a small boot image, and then point it at my HTTP server for the actual install. Whether or not its worth doing in your case really does depend on how many servers you need to build and how often. If you also use profiles, you can consistently build servers the same way too (*almost* an unattended install).

Re: How to install the OS thru ILO.
Hi Colin/ All
Can you please expand on how exactly you do a network boot? I am having a server in Grenoble, France and need to image it with RHEL using the network. Can you please give any detailed steps for the same as to
1. how to boot to a small image and then
2. where to specify the network URL?
Thanks and Regards,
Praneeth

Is there a link to check more information related to profiles. Any further information on building servers using profiles will be very helpful. Thank you in advance.
