if your switch isn't configured for 100FD then you made a mistake. Logon to server console and re-issue command to make it 100HD.

lanadmin -X 100HD 0

Travel to the server console.

If you have only one LAN card to get to this server, NEVER perform and configuration changes remotely. You'll have to send somebody on site to reboot the machine or login to the console and change the config back to normal.

call the nework group and get them to change the speed of you port to 100FD.
Else you have to travel sorry!

If you have a remote connection to you console set it back to half duplex:
lanadmin -X 100HD 0
Then get the network croup to change the speed to 100FD then you should be able to see collitions with:
netstat -in
Then use you command:
lanadmin -X 100FD 0

Re: I use "lanadmin -x 100FD 0", Then I lost the connection

As others have pointed-out, "never" make networking changes while accessing the system over the network. Always make them while accessing the system via the console.

That having been said, I would expect that even if you did induce a duplex-mismatch by forcing 100FD there would still have been _some_ connectivity, it would just have been really slow.

IMO, no-one should be hardcoding duplex settings in the first place. Everything should be left at autoneg these days - NICs and switches. If there are still switches which cannot properly autoneg they should be replaced with extreme predjudice.
