IO issure
HPUX 11.31
Is there a way to check for any IO issue at a specific time in the past? Are there some event logs etc..? something else than the syslog?
Thanks

Re: IO issure
You are aware of /var/opt/ov/perf agent.If you have perf and measurware agent on your system you can use the extract utility by selecting matrix for global cpu ,mem like that. then u can plot the graph for analysis purpose
====================
you will get the reptall template .you copy that template in ur home directory.And umcoment parameter in it.
The template path is /opt/perf/newconfig/reptall . And use the extract utility .it will create the perf.out file in ur home dir.then cat it and take the o/p in xl sheet and plot the graph.Check the man pages for extract so it will give clear idea.the syntax is given below
#extract -xp -r /home/piyush/reptall -f /home/piyush/perf.out -G -b 08/12/08 -e 08/11/26

Re: IO issure
>>issue at a specific time in the past<<
in this kind of "case" dmesg, -> its your luck,
best place to "with much information"
check "/var/adm/syslog/OLDsyslog.log
Thanks,
Johnson

Re: IO issure
Apart from syslog you can find io error into dmesg and /var/opt/resmon/log/event.log
