Issues with the LP spooler
Hello,
This is an HP-UX 11.23 system. Earlier this morning, /var was 100% full and printers couldn't print.
I made space available but the spooler got corrupted.
I'm trying to fix it but there are still issues.
Now, when trying to print I got this message:
lp: request ids exhausted for printer: lj75_1. contact LP Administrator
I'll appreciate your help.
Thank you,
Fidel

Re: Issues with the LP spooler
Hi Kris,
Thank you for your response.
The issue was the file outputq got corrupted.
Also, after fixing this, a printer queue was creating tons of print requests such that the print request limit number got exhausted but now all is working fine.
