Load Averagees

The Load Averages is at 11.12

How could I determin what is causing the load avg to be so high.

HI,

You may run:

/usr/bin/top

to see the top processes in the system.

galnce, top, xload, sar, & ps are some of the many tools available to look at CPU.

Further research is needed to identify the culprit.

You can try using glance and looking at the Global Wait States screen to see where the system is spending it's wait time. (shortcut key B) This may give you a hint of where to look next. (disk io, lan, nfs, terminal io, semaphores....)
