Mutiple VG on one physical volumn disk

Can I create mutiple volumn groups on one physical volumn disk?

Nop, it is forbidden.

One Physical volume can only belong to one volume group.

No.

You can create one VG on one PV.

A single PV can only be part of one VG.

A single VG can "contain" many PVs.

Absolutely NOT! A single physical volume, whether its an actual disk or a LUN from an array, can only a member of a single volume group.

No - not allowed - 1 vg per LUN - only way to to what you want is in a storage array - where the server only sees a "slice" of a disk.

You can create N VG's on one disk but only the last pvcreate/vgcreate counts. LVM does not support the concept of disk slices so the entire physical disk becomes a member of at most one VG.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

No. A single disk can not be in two volume groups.
