I would like to give a tip of the hat first to the forum regulars here, thanks for your wonderful service to the HP UNIX community at large.
I have an HP Integrity rx1620 Itanium Server running HPUX 11.23. I'm simply looking for a basic zip/unzip utility to install to it. I tried this link which was given to me but their site seems to be down for the time being. I was wondering if there were any mirror sites or alt sites with this software.
My only requirements are that it runs on IA-64 architecture and in 11.23 environs. As always, thanks in advance folks for your brilliance.
Very Respectfully,
Chris Elmore

You've saved my bacon more than once now... and as always, another slam dunk for you! Thanks for your time and expertise, you're helping to keep me gainfully employed in this rough job market, and my family and I appreciate that. Take care and have a great weekend my friend.
v/r,
Chris

Re: Need help with finding alt site for zip utility from http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Misc/zip-3.0
For three points, you might try the original
source:
http://www.info-zip.org/
http://infozip.sourceforge.net/
While it does demand a C compiler and "make",
building Zip and UnZip from the source allows
one to add optional components (like, for
example, bzip2 compression), which may not be
present in a product built by the Porting and
Archiving Centre. (They also tend to use
some quirky build procedures.)
Also, If you exploit any of the new features
of Zip 3.0 (large files, bzip2, ...), then
you might want an UnZip 6.0 to go along with
it, and, so far as I can see, the P&AC folks
offer nothing newer than a pre-release
("BETA") 6.0d.

Yours is a great tip too. I bookmarked these sites you shared and I look forward to digging into their FAQ's. Nothing like FAQ diving on a Friday afternoon... I say.
:)
You have a good weekend and I'm sure I'll see you around the 'ITRC'. Take care.
v/r,
Chris
