Omniback II for linux 7

I successfully installed Omniback 3.5 agents on Redhat Linux 7, Its successfull because when I "telnet omni" I get the response back

HP OpenView OmniBack II A.03.50: INET, internal build 216, built on Wed Apr 19 15:20:44 2000
Connection closed by foreign host.

But when I try to run backup from omniback gui I don't get any response from this server. (I was successfully able to bakup Redhat 6.2)

ANY IDEAS????????

Hi Ravi,

Officialy RedHad is supported and known to work well.

Maybe in Omniback 4.0 more linux versions are supported.

What you can try to still get a backup of your linux server is to mount the file systems using nfs on you cell or another machine and backup the nfs filesystems.

Ravi,

If you got the correct response from the Omni port, you must have a good /etc/xinetd.d/omni file.
Perhaps, you could share with us what the contents of the file look like?
