Oracle core dumped by SIGABRT

As the subject says, oracle coredumped. The output of the "file command" was SIGABRT received.

The only clue is these entries in syslog.log file.

Oct 24 12:48:23 ibermc12 vmunix: SCSI: Attempt to access partially open device -- dev: bc052000
Oct 24 12:48:23 ibermc12 vmunix: SCSI: Attempt to access partially open device -- dev: bc052000
Oct 24 12:48:23 ibermc12 vmunix: disc30 10/4/4.8.0 SCSI event UNKNOWN_RESELECT

The 10/4/4.8.0 is of course, the database disc.

Any idea?

Thnks in advance

Hi,

description of the syslog message at the attachment. Perhaps this do not solve your problem but eventually gives you a hint where to go next.

Re: Oracle core dumped by SIGABRT

Certainly looks like a disk subsystem problem. If youre using a 3rd party disk subsystem get them to check it for errors. If not, call HP.

Re: Oracle core dumped by SIGABRT

Parece ser un problema de disco. Verifica si no tiene problemas (fsck)del file system o si es un disco externo, que no estT apagado.
