Pending Jobs

Hi ..
question ... if i have many many old pending jobs in the queue, does this use space in the disk? where is located that size of the pending jobs?

Are the processes in zombie/sleeping state?

The STAT column specifies this..

Can be determined based on that.

if i run lpstat printer_name, i see there the pending job,but i do not know where is stayed the information kept to be printed into the /var fs (i guess is into this fs)

/var/spool/lp/request/

The short answer is YES. Keep an eye on the /var directory. If it's getting full you may need to cancel the print jobs or clear the print queue manually.
