Splitting one mirror from a two mirror set
Hello everyone,
I have a volume group with one logical volume on it. This logican volume has two mirrors on it. I would like to split one of the mirrors off. After reading the man page I still am not sure of the correct syntax or can I not do it.
Here is the info for the volume group and logical volume
vg01
Lvol1
Physical devices
Primary drive = c2t1d0
First Mirror = c5t2d0
Second Mirror = c5t4d0
I would like to split just the Second Mirror off and then merge it once I have backed up the data on that Mirror.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Tim

Did you not look at the man page for lvsplit? This has examples that describe what you want...
